Training of justice staff

The initial and subsequent training of the officers of justice in particular, and of the justice staff in general, is also a competence of the Directorate-General of Justice Administration through its Training Centre for Justice Staff (CFFJ).

The Training Centre for Justice Staff holds training actions for candidates to officer of justice admitted in the qualifying course mentioned in article 8 of the Statute for Justice Staff and collaborates in the planning of the technical and technological training at the course mentioned in article 7 paragraph 2 of the said Statute.

The Training Centre for Justice Staff operates at the facilities of the Directorate-General of Justice Administration, in Lisbon (Av. 5 de Outubro, 125). There are also CFFJ trainers/coordinators in Oporto and Coimbra, in order to provide more direct support to officers of justice.

The CFFJ features 23 training rooms throughout the national territory, so as to be closer to the staff.

Besides organizing and providing training, the CFFJ also provides supporting texts on various subjects.
